Private school
Since 1985 next to the Boys house there is a school building of three floors. It is a complete primary school from kindergarten right through to grade 6. The school is well equipped with library and classrooms for computer lessons, group work and creative skills. Here quality education is provided by qualified teachers.

For boys and girls
It is a co-ed school. Besides the boys from the home there are around 250 girls and boys of poor families from the area. These children from the neighbourhood are admitted free of charge or pay a small fee.

Private secondary education required
After primary school many children enjoy further education in secondary schools in the area. The board of Jeel al Amal is developing plans to build a fourth floor of the school building. Then there will be room for private secondary education.

Further study
In Jeel al Amal, children can develop their talents and become independent and mature personalities. Therefore the children are helped to find scholarship for further training in the country or abroad. Since 1972 many children finished a vocational or higher education successfully.

Alumni of Jeel al Amal on the board
Since 2009 there are four alumni of Jeel al Amal on the board: a lawyer, a businessman, a professor in computer science, and a manager at the UNWRA, who also works in a hospital. They determine the policies of Jeel al Amal for the new generation of the hope, in the boys home and the school.
